Known for being home to the 'Chattanooga Choo Choo', Cincinnati's Southern Railroad service made famous by Glen Miller in 1941, Chattanooga is located along the banks of the Tennessee River, with dense forested areas, in the state of Tennessee (TN). Chattanooga was once home to the Cherokee Indians and two notable walking trails remember this heritage, one of which starts at Ross's Landing in Chattanooga's downtown district, offering a popular leisurely stroll along the riverfront.
